Praveen Patel, a 45-year-old Gujarati man, runs a store in Kuala Lumpur and lives with his wife Kokila and their son Jigar. He has long admired the Bollywood actress Shanaya, played by Sunny Leone. When she needs to prepare for a role as a Gujarati wife, she wants to stay with a family, and Praveen's home becomes the place.
Eager to impress her, Praveen tells Shanaya that he is single. To keep the lie going, he has to hide his real family and ask others in the house to play along. As Shanaya settles in, keeping up the pretence gets harder.
