Jaanu (2020)

Storyline

Jaanu is a heart touching love tale of two souls who do not expect anything in return for their love. K. Ramachandra alias Ram (Sharwanand) is a travel photographer and loves staying close to nature. His school friends Murali (Vennela Kishore), Subhashini (Saranya Pradeep), and Satish (Ramesh) drop in a Whatsapp message that the whole school batch is planning to arrange a reunion. Ram agrees to be at the venue. When the evening is set and the people from the batch start to come in, Ram finds out that Jaanu aka Janaki Devi (Samantha) is also going to be there. Jaanu and Ram liked each other during the school days and Ram treasures her memories in the deepest parts of his heart. Now, Jaanu is married and stays with her husband and daughter in Singapore. Initially, both Ram and Jaanu find it uncomfortable to keep up a lively conversation. But as the evening unfolds, they warm up to each other’s presence and greet each other like good old times. The movie then starts narrating the time they spend together before Jaanu leaves to Singapore the next morning. They relive memories, rekindle friendship and disclose the unexposed secrets. It’s all about the eternal joy that love brings even if your loved one is not close to you.
