Shivaramakrishnan arrives in Chennai to fight for a job that was promised to him years ago but given to someone else. While he waits for an answer, he takes a room in Sakthi Nadaga Sabha, a struggling theatre run by Nambi. Another jobless tenant, Masha, lives there too. She tells her mother back home that she is an air hostess with a good income, and she is not happy to share the place with a newcomer.
Then a late night phone call changes everything. A gang demands money for a kidnapped girl, but the caller has reached the wrong number. The three broke friends see a chance to turn the mistake into a plan, though it puts them in great danger.
