    Review

To simply describe the plot line of Sarpatta, this film resembles the storyline of several other films. Hence it is fair to say the storyline is a tad bit cliché and predictable. When it comes to the acting aspect, Arya did a commendable job as the lead actor by portraying the role with utmost perfection. He was very well suited for this role and the character development was very appreciable. The supporting actors in this film also did a very decent job executing their roles. The cinematography by Murali G. is another major highlight of Sarpatta. Using his top-tier skills, Murali G. made the audience go through a splendid movie experience. The soul of Chennai in the 70’s was very well finessed. The only major set-back of this film is that with a runtime of around 175 mins, the story of Sarpatta felt prolonged and with the cliché plot, this film possesses the tendency of being monotonous.

    Verdict

Sarpatta is a great film to watch for the ones who are enthusiastic about sports dramas. But this film can be entirely skippable as a similar plotline can be found in almost any other sports drama film.
