A casual romantic entertainer turns into a post interval thriller. O Pitta Katha is a romantic love story between childhood buddies with a twist when a third person enters to separate them and coincidentally the girl gets kidnapped. It should be interesting to watch how this debut actor & child actress keep the audience engaged.

    Story

This movie starring our ‘Devullu’ girl (Nitya Shetty as Venkata Lakshmi) and actor Brahmaji’s son (Sanjay Rao as Prabhu) is setup in a village backdrop with Lakshmi & Prabhu in love since their childhood, right when things seem to be going fine, Kerintha fame actor (Viswant as Krish) enters their lives and falls for Lakshmi. Realizing that Prabhu & Lakshmi are in love, Krish’s evil mind starts to plot against them. To make things interesting, the story twists in kidnapping of Lakshmi and all eyes turn to Krish. The plot revels on the big screen on march 6th 2020.

    Analysis

First half of the movie captures good sceneries with a few laughs from the hero’s friend, but the storyline gets dragged and does not create much interest to the audience. The director fails to entice the decent story with dull narration and taking. The actors tried their best to do justice but show that they’re still novice. The movie gets attention with the interval bang with gripping and intensifying scenes. The plot twist for the heroine’s kidnap is revealed well by the director with the last 30 mins proving to be a gratifying experience.

    Bottomline

Only with the movie starting from the 2nd half, the director made good attempt with good twists and gripping narration but certainly failed to provide an overall satisfying experience with dull and boring 1st half. Overall the movie could be worth a watch and is currently being streamed on Amazon prime.
