Story

Toofaan is a passionate sports drama film that depicts the story of a small-town youth who paves his way into the realm of boxing. The plot spins around Ajju, who always had a desire to acquire the skill of boxing. He eventually supersedes in coaching and wins sufficient matches to become the ultimate boxing icon. But one unfortunate conflict smashes his hard-earned profession, honour, and fame, expelling him from boxing for 5 years. What will Ajju do to recover from what he succumbed and how will he rebound back to his brilliant career shapes the essence of the story.  

Review 

Toofaan is an extraordinarily produced film that is penned down and directed with perfection. The story of this film was well executed and the casting was done with utmost perfection as it was very appealing to watch how each actor fit well into their roles.  

It is very remarkable how Farhan Akhtar took the effort of training himself in boxing just to realize the authentic essence of the story. His raw and brute actions scenes were very stimulating and how the story progressed with unexpected twists to keep the audience engaging is appreciable. The only downside one could think about is that the story of this film was good, but it felt slightly cliché as many sports dramas have similar script concepts to them. Coming to the technical aspects, the cinematography by Jay Oza was top tier. The film was very gratifying to watch and the soundtrack was also well orchestrated.
