Tripti Dimri

Tripti Dimri is an actress in Hindi cinema, admired for playing women who are layered, strong and quietly determined. Fans often call her simply Tripti. She is best known for Bulbbul, Qala and Animal, and her top honour is a Filmfare OTT Award, which she won for Bulbbul. Tripti appeared in Mom (2017) and Poster Boys (2017) before taking the lead in the romance Laila Majnu (2018). Her breakthrough came with Bulbbul (2020), a drama directed by Anvita Dutt, and she teamed up with the same filmmaker again for Qala (2022). Critics praised her work in both films. A much wider audience discovered her through Animal (2023), a box office hit in which her supporting role earned a Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 2024 she turned to comedy with Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She went on to appear in Dhadak 2 (2025) and O'Romeo (2026). Tripti moves easily between big commercial entertainers and smaller, story-driven films, and she is valued for the emotional depth she brings to each character. Her Filmfare OTT Award for Bulbbul and her Filmfare nomination for Animal reflect the two sides of her career. Away from the screen, she is the face of several brands.
