TR Silambarasan (Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar) is an Indian film Actor, Director, Screenwriter, Lyricist, Music Director and Playback Singer. He predominantly works in Tamil film industry. He made his acting debut with the Tamil film "Kadhal Azhivathillai" in the year 2002. He began his career as a child artist in the films directed by his father T Rajender.He has worked as a child artist in 19 films. He is one of the multi-talented actors. He has also worked in Telugu films. He has worked as a playback singer, a Lyric writer for many films. He is popularly known as Simbu, STR and little superstar among his fans.He has sung the songs over 60 films for various music composers. He mostly collaborated with the famous music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. He was horned with Kalamamani from the government of Tamil Nadu. He has received SIIMA Award, ITFA Award and Edison Award for Best Actor.
