S Thaman is an Indian film Music Director, Music Composer, Playback Singer and Actor. He mainly works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi film industries. He made his supporting actor debut with the film Boys in the year 2003. Later he turned to film composer and became popular as a music director. He first gave music for a Tamil film 'Sindhanai Sei' and then for Telugu film Kick in the year 2009. He owns a music band named Thakkali. He has scored music for more than 70 films in just six years. SS Thaman is the grand son of Director and Producer late Ghantasala Balaramayya. He has received SIIMA Award and FilmFare Award for Best Music Director.
