Nyla Usha
Nyla Usha is a Malayalam film actress and television presenter who built a career as a radio jockey before moving into cinema. She is best known for Kunjananthante Kada (2013), Punyalan Agarbattis (2013) and Priyan Ottathilaanu (2022). Her first film earned her a nomination at the South Indian International Movie Awards in 2013. Before acting, Nyla spent close to ten years as a radio jockey in Dubai. She entered films in 2013 with Kunjananthante Kada and appeared in Punyalan Agarbattis the same year. She went on to act in Gangster (2014), Fireman (2015), Pathemari (2015), Pretham (2016) and DiwanjiMoola Grand Prix (2018). In 2019 she was part of the cast of Porinju Mariam Jose. Her later films include Paappan (2022), Priyan Ottathilaanu (2022), Kunjamminis Hospital (2023), King of Kotha (2023), L2: Empuraan (2025) and Mayan - Chapter 1 (2026). Nyla is known for working across both cinema and television, and she brings the experience of her radio years to her work as a presenter. Her most notable honour is the 2013 SIIMA nomination in the Malayalam category for Kunjananthante Kada, the film that started her acting career.
