Mahi V Raghav

Mahi V Raghav is a writer and director in the Telugu film industry. He is best known for Yatra (2019), a film on the life of YS Raja Sekhar Reddy, the late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and for the comedy horror Anando Brahma (2017). Besides directing, he often writes his own stories and screenplays, and he has also worked as a producer. His first film credit came as a producer on Villagelo Vinayakudu (2009). He then turned to direction with Paathshala (2014), which was based on a story of his own. Anando Brahma (2017) came next, a horror tale played for laughs, and he wrote its screenplay as well. Yatra (2019) became his defining film; he directed it and wrote its story, screenplay and dialogue. That same year he wrote the story for Petromax (2019). He went on to direct Shaitan (2023) and then brought the Yatra story forward with Yatra 2 (2024), which he directed, produced and wrote. Raghav is known for shaping a film from its first idea, handling the writing along with the direction on most of his projects. His films cover a wide range, from comedy horror to the life story of a real political leader.
