John Vijay

John Vijay is an Indian actor who works mainly in Tamil cinema and also appears in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films. Sometimes credited as Jhon Vijay, he is best known for his roles in Oram Po, Mouna Guru and Sarpatta Parambarai, and his screen work stretches across nearly two decades. His film journey took shape with Oram Po in 2007. He went on to appear in Va and Thillalangadi, both released in 2010, followed by Mouna Guru in 2011 and Kalakalappu in 2012. In 2021 he played one of his most familiar parts in Sarpatta Parambarai, and the same year he also acted in Agadu. His later credits include Thee Ivan and Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire in 2023, then Singapore Saloon, Vadakkupatti Ramasamy and Vithaikkaaran in 2024. In 2025 he appeared in Bottle Radha, Dilruba, Ghaati and Revolver Rita, and his 2026 films include Peddi, Magudam and Khalifa: The Ruler. John Vijay stands out for how easily he moves between languages, taking on parts in five film industries rather than staying in one. He is also known for his steady pace of work, with fourteen films in 2025 and ten more in 2026. That range and consistency have made him a familiar face for viewers across South Indian and Hindi cinema.
