Amit Tharwani is a Casting director & an Acting coach. He started his career as an actor after his acting training in digital academy, Mumbai. Alongside acting work, Amit started working as a Casting Assistant/Associate for films and ads. Amit has been part of the Casting team for films like Khaamoshiyan (Vishesh films), Dharam Sankat Mein (Viacom 18), Phobia (Eros), 3 Storeys (Excel Entertainment), Saare jahan se achcha (Roy kapur films) Chhapaak (directed by Meghna Gulzar) and also conducts Acting workshops in Mumbai, Bangalore & Hyderabad. During his career in Mumbai, Amit has been learning various sides of production which led him to work as an Assistant director in numerous short and feature films. He worked as an assistant director to a national award winning director Sandeep Modi for a Marathi film titled 'Chumbak'. He has worked on the short film MAD (2017) directed by Vinod Rawat as an Associate director & Editor, which blew away the audience at the 19th JIO Mumbai Film Festival. He has also directed a shortfilm titled 'Hungry' (2020). Furthermore, he has been training actors on-set for films & ads. Recently has done Casting for two shortfilms out of the four from the Netflix YouTube Lockdown Series titled 'Home Stories'.
