Aditi Shankar

Aditi Shankar is an Indian actress and singer who works mostly in Tamil cinema. Audiences know her best for Viruman (2022) and Maaveeran (2023), and her standout honour is the Filmfare Awards South prize for Best Female Debut – South, which she won in 2023 for her work in Viruman. Her name is also often spelled Adithi Shankar or Athiti Shankar. Her screen journey began with Viruman in 2022, a debut that brought her quick attention from Tamil film fans. The same year, she appeared in Pasalapoodi Veerababu (2022) and also worked as a playback singer on Ghani (2022). She kept her momentum going with Maaveeran (2023), and she also features in Maha Veerudu (2023). In 2025 she took on roles in Nesippaya and Bhairavam. She then acted in Once More (2026) and lent her voice as a playback singer to Thaai Kizhavi (2026). Aditi stands out for moving easily between two crafts, acting in front of the camera and singing for the soundtrack. That mix has given her a place in both the film and music sides of the industry. Alongside her Filmfare win, she has received one Vikatan Award and one SIIMA Award, a strong record for an actress who started her film career in 2022.
