Adhik Ravichandran

Adhik Ravichandran is a Tamil filmmaker who writes and directs his own stories, and who also acts on screen and sings for films. He is best known for the comedy Trisha Illana Nayanthara (2015), the first film he directed, and for Mark Antony (2023), which earned ₹100 crore in theatres. He started out as a director with Trisha Illana Nayanthara (2015), a comedy that won over audiences, and he also appeared in it as an actor. Two films that came after it did not do well, and his work behind the camera slowed for a time. In those years he took on roles in front of it instead, acting in Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (2017), K-13 (2019) and Nerkonda Paarvai (2019). He returned as a director in 2023 with two releases. Bagheera (2023) carried both his story and his dialogue, while Mark Antony (2023), built on a story he wrote himself, turned his fortunes around with its ₹100 crore earnings. He went on to act in Good Bad Ugly (2025). He is known for wearing many hats on a single project, often shaping the story, the dialogue and the direction of the same film. Moving easily between writing, directing, acting and singing, he has made a place for himself across several crafts in Tamil cinema.
