Biography

<p>Meena is an Indian actress who worked in the South film industry. Meena debuted as a child artist in the Tamil film Nenjangal in 1982 and later appeared in films produced by numerous regional industries.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>She has appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and several Hindi films. She is one of the few actresses who have come after in all the languages of southern India. She is one of the most established actresses in the South Indian film industry. In addition to acting, Meena is a model, dancer, singer, TV judge and occasional dubbing artist.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Meena was raised in Chennai by her Tamil father, Durairaj, and her Malayali mother, Raj Mallika, of Chirakkal Palace-Kannur Dist. She went to&nbsp;Vidyodhya schools in Chennai. Because of her busy schedule, she had to stop studying after the eighth standard, then took private lessons and finished tenth in Vidyodaya schools in Chennai. She then acquired her Master’s degree in History from the University of Madras through the university system opened in 2006. Meena is a graduate dancer from Bharathanatyam and speaks six languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Hindi and English.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Meena married Vidyasagar, a software engineer based in Bangalore on July 12, 2009. The couple has a daughter, “Nainika Vidyasagar” (born January 1, 2011), who made her film debut at the age of 5 at Theri (2016) alongside actor Vijay.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
