Biography

<p>Charu is an Indian film editor. She began her career by getting associated with short films as a director and writer. She has edited multiple short films since 2009 that include Allah Is Great, Daag Daag Andhera, Mr. &amp; Mrs. Singh, Rip, Guddu Engineer, El'ayichi, etc. The short film Chasing the Rainbow, written, directed and edited by her, won the National Award for the Best Promotional movie in 2013. It also won the Audience Poll at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival in 2016. Another short film, Chinese Whispers, directed by her is in post production. In addition to notable shorts, Charu's filmography includes several successful features across various genres such as Sui Dhaaga, Haraamkhor, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Lucknow Central, Manjha, and Double Seat. She has worked on Nitesh Tewari's Chhichhore produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Charu's most recent work as an editor includes Dolly Kitty aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, a feature directed by Alankrita Shrivastava and produced by Balaji, Chintu Ka Birthday, Satyanshu Singh and Devanshu Singh's heart-warming feature on Zee5, and Bombay Begums, a Netflix original series yet to be released.</p>
