A middle-class software employee with a happy go life is implicated in a murder case. He is arrested for killing a noted activist and is imprisoned for five long years. An advocate(Varalakshmi Sarathkumar) pleads on behalf of Surya and gets him out of the jail. The rest of the story how he takes revenge on those who implicated him in the case forms the rest of the story.
