Yashoda' Filmmaker Shivalenka Krishna Prasad‘s Statement

"We have no intention of hurting someone ... The problem with 'Eva IVF' hospital is over - 'Yashoda' filmmaker Shivalenka Krishna Prasad*

Directed by Hari and Harish and produced by Shivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies, 'Yashoda' is a grand success in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages worldwide on November 11.

With the use of the name 'Eva' in the film, the 'Eva IVF' hospital authorities in Hyderabad went to court. Producer Shivalenka Krishna Prasad spoke to them and resolved the issue amicably. It was stated that the name 'Eva' has been removed from the film. As the issue was resolved, Sivalenka Krishna Prasad held a press conference with 'Eva IVF' MD Mohan Rao on Tuesday.

Sivalenka Krishna Prasad said, "We know that 'Yashoda' which we produced with Samantha in the lead role was a success. We showed it as a surrogacy facility in the film. We named it 'Eva'. The definition we gave to it was different. However, the 'Eva IVF' Fertility Hospital of Hyderabad-Warangal said that cinema is a powerful medium. They tried for justice through the court saying that they would be inconvenienced by showing Eva in 'Yashoda'. The court ordered that the name should not be used till OTT and not in theatres . We do not know this, we have no intention of hurting someone or hurting the sentiments of others. So, I immediately contacted the 'Eva IVF' hospital authorities . "We have respect for the film industry. It's kind of hurting us. So, we did this," he said. If I say 'Eva' name will be removed... Then they said they had no objection. There was a positive response. For this , I would like to thank the management of 'Eva IVF' and the hospital authorities as the face of the media. We removed the word 'Eva' from the film. The name 'Eva' will not appear anywhere in the film 'Yashoda' in the future. However, the film is running successfully in theatres. To change the name of the theatres, it has to be done through the censor. After that, the KDMs have to be changed. It will take some time. If you tell me this... 'Eva IVF' hospital sources agreed. I went to their hospital. They are being organized. Providing a good service. There was a minor disturbance as we did not know about this and used the name. Now the solution to that problem has been found. We are both happy," he said.

Mohan Rao, Managing Director, Eva IVF, said, "A few days ago I came before the media and objected to the use of our hospital's name in 'Yashoda'. On that second day producer Shivalenka Krishna Prasad garu approached us. He spoke to us about the objections raised by us through the court. Eva's   name was removed as promised. No case was filed for. We wanted to tell you the value of it. Our intention is to ensure that the Eva IVF brand image is not damaged. That's why we filed a case. The film was shown to me the other evening. All those related to Eva's name have been removed. Yesterday (Monday) i went back to the court and... We have said that we are satisfied with the changes made by the producer of 'Yashoda'. We have also informed that the case is being withdrawn. The court immediately accepted it. The case was withdrawn with the consent of both parties. I didn't think there would be a solution to this problem so soon. Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad garu and his team responded immediately. I'm very happy about that . I had no idea that a solution would be found so quickly if the producer was contacted. That's why I legally went to court, maybe abroad, as shown in the film. We took the producer to the hospital and showed him how we would be. Nowhere outside will it happen as shown in the film," he said.
