Vijay Deverakonda's latest film, Family Star, didn't quite hit the mark with audiences after high expectations. Despite being the second collaboration between Parasuram and Vijay after the successful Geetha Govindam, the film failed to impress and didn't do well at the box office.
However, there's good news as Family Star recently had its world television premiere on Star Maa and managed to grab a TRP of 6.11 on its first telecast. It seems to be following the trend of other films like Skanda, Kondapolam, and Aadikeshava, which didn't perform well in theaters but found success on television.
The movie stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and is produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. With a cast that includes Jagapathi Babu, Abhinaya, Vasuki, and more, along with music by Gopi Sundar, Family Star has found a new audience on TV despite its underwhelming box office performance.
