Urmila Matondkar Will Be Working On An Astonishing Role In Her Next

Urmila Matondkar is an evergreen pan-Indian actress and a professional dancer who also did her debut in politics back in 2019 by joining the Congress Party. Seems like our beloved Urmila hasn't had enough of acting as now she claims she will be appearing on the big screens playing a significantly prominent role. Before the pandemic took place Urmila had already signed in for a web series but for obvious reasons we didn't see that happening. Urmila also has her opinion regarding this topic. It was reported that she said, “Last April, I was supposed to be a part of a web series, whose script I had loved. We had scheduled the dates, but due to the lockdown, it was pushed ahead. Later, the shoot got postponed further as the lockdown was extended. The last I heard is that the project is now stuck due to some permission issues. So, I am just waiting to see what happens next. Frankly, I don’t even know whether the project will take off now. It would have been something great. I was really looking forward to it.”

During the pandemic, actress Kangana Ranaut took massive digs at Urmila's profession which ironically, happens to be her profession too, along with a bunch of other actresses. But this didn't discourage any of the strong-willed actresses including Urmila Matondkar.

Urmila now claims that she will be portraying a unique role that her fans have never seen before and there is a lot of frenzy in the audience regarding it. In an impromptu interview, Urmila expressed, “When I look back, I have had such a versatile career. So, unless and until one is going to take it a notch higher, I don’t see any interest or any point in taking up a project. I can’t be doing things just for the heck of it, and which is why I was really gung-ho about the digital project. But I am sure that if not that, then something else which is great will come up. So, soon enough, you should see me on the big screen. I have promised myself that the project, which I take on, will be something exciting not just for me, but for my fans and the audience as well. There’s so much content out there on all these platforms that it doesn’t make sense to be a part of something mundane.”
