The number of Covid-19 cases is increasing in Bollywood. Actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Karthik Aaryan, Manoj Bajpayee, and Siddhant Chaturvedi have already contracted the Covid-19 virus. The latest to join this list is director Amit Ravindernath Sharma who was busy shooting the penultimate schedule of Ajay Devgn starrer 'Maidaan' movie. Touted to be a sports drama, Ajay Devgn is playing the role of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the movie. But, as the director tested positive for Covid, the shooting got halted.
As per the latest reports, the shooting of the film will be resumed after 2 weeks. Initially, the movie unit wanted to kickstart the final schedule of the film in Madh Island on March 16th. But, after every two matches, the makeshift football ground has to get refurbished. So, after wrapping up the schedule on March 12th, there was a three-day break for the shooting to refurbish the damaged stadium. However, as the director is now in isolation, the shoot will only begin in April. Unfortunately, only a few scenes shoot are in pending for Ajay Devgn. But he should wait for a couple of weeks to wrap up his portion. After completing this movie, Ajay also has 'Bhuj', 'RRR', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'May Day' movies in his pipeline.
