Telangana Tyagadhanulu: Unveiling A Glorious History Through A Landmark Web Series

In honor of the brave individuals who sacrificed themselves for a separate Telangana, a web series titled 'Telangana Tyagadhanulu' was launched on June 4th, Sunday.

Telangana is not just one of the 28 states in India; it has a glorious history that spans over two thousand years. Geographically located in the Deccan plateau, Telangana has been an independent region under the rule of Hyderabad even after attaining independence. Following independence and its integration into India, a separate state called United Andhra Pradesh was formed, which included Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra, based on the Telugu language. However, after decades of struggle and a revolution for a separate state, Telangana was officially formed as an independent state on June 2, 2014.

Telangana is known for its rich culture and heritage. It boasts a history that dates back to the Satavahana dynasty and played a crucial role during the periods of Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as the glorious rule of the Kalatiya dynasty. It is the birthplace of notable figures such as the first Telugu poet Bammera Pothana, the first female warrior ruler in South India Rudrama Devi, and the first Telugu Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. Many brave individuals sacrificed their lives in the fight for a separate Telangana, and it is important to celebrate their lives and remember their sacrifices.

In honor of these brave individuals, a web series titled 'Telangana Tyagadhanulu' was launched on June 4th, Sunday. The theme song for the web series, "Vandanam Vandanam Telangana Tyagadhanulaku Ide Vandanam," was also unveiled at the event held at Prasad Labs. The web series is being produced by Vision VVK Films as their Production No 1 and is directed by Nagabala Suresh Kumar. V. Vijay Kumar, the Chairman of Sri Vision VVK Housing India PVT Ltd, is the producer, and the series is being made on a large budget.

During the event, several prominent personalities graced the occasion, including FDC Chairman Kurmachalam, Director Relangi Narasimha Rao, Actress Roja Ramani, Producer Raj Kandukuri, Vakula Bharanam Krishna Mohan, and Thummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana.

FDC Chairman Kurmachalam expressed his appreciation for the web series, stating that it is a commendable effort to educate the current generation about the rich culture and sacrifices of Telangana. He pledged his support on behalf of the government and assured assistance in any way possible.

Vakula Bharanam Krishna Mohan emphasized the importance of portraying historical events accurately and suggested conducting extensive research to replicate the situations of that time. He believed that the series should provide a deep introspection into history and be made with utmost care.

Senior Actress Roja Ramani expressed her admiration for the initiative taken by Nagabala Suresh Kumar and V. Vijay Kumar to create a web series on 'Telangana Tyagadhanulu'. She acknowledged the limitations of cinema in capturing the lives of great individuals in a short duration and lauded the decision to opt for a web series format. She also pledged industry support and was moved to tears by the theme song.

Director Relangi Narasimha Rao emphasized that the web series is not limited to Telangana but should be watched by all Telugu-speaking people and audiences worldwide. He appreciated the efforts of the producer and expressed hope that the success of 'Telangana Tyagadhanulu' would pave the way for similar series focusing on other regions.

Producer V Vijay Kumar, who came forward to produce the series, stated that his intention was not to make profits but to provide the audience with a great experience. He hoped that the web series would become a brand in Telugu history and announced that the details of the OTT platform streaming the series would be revealed after the completion of its first season.

Director Nagabala Suresh Kumar spoke about the rich history of Telangana and its significance not only for the region but also for the entire Telugu-speaking population and the world. He expressed his gratitude to the producer and the team and emphasized the need to bring Telangana's history to a national level through this web series.

The event concluded with felicitations, speeches, and the celebration of Producer V Vijay Kumar's birthday. The guests congratulated and wished him well for his endeavor, highlighting the importance of the web series in preserving and promoting Telangana's history and culture.
