Shahid Kapoor to turn as a producer for a war trilogy

Shahid Kapoor who recently scored a biggest box office success with 'Kabir Singh' movie has a bunch of big projects in his pocket at the moment. The actor has recently completed the pre-production works of his upcoming movie Jersey which is going to come out as the much-awaited Hindi remake of a Telugu super hit film with the same title. Touted to be a sports drama, Shahid is going to play the role of a cricketer in this movie. Shahid is also going to star in Shashank Khaitan's upcoming movie 'Yoddha'. Though he is extremely busy with back-to-back projects, the actor is all set to turn into a producer.

Amish Tripathi’s trilogies including Shiva and Ram Chandra series have been grabbing the attention of the audience lately. It seems like Shahid Kapoor have been paid an amount of 70 crores to star in this trilogy and also debut as a producer. The triology is based on Amish’s novels and will mark Shahid’s first project as a producer. The project deadlines are yet to get announced and the official confirmation is awaited. Directed by Rakeysh Mehra, Shahid also signed a story that is based on Karna from Mahabharat. Also, Shahid was approached for the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster Soorarai Pottru.
