Samantha To Kickstart 'Shaakunthalam' Shooting From April

Star beauty Samantha Akkineni who is riding high with back-to-back super hit films recently tasted success with 'Jaanu' movie. Now, she is all set to join hand with talented filmmaker Gunasekhar for an 'Shakunthalam' movie. Touted to be an ambitious mythological magnum opus, Shaakuntalam became one of the most-awaited movies in the industry. The movie has been in the news from the past couple of months and is being called as a pan-Indian film. Now, the makers are getting ready to kickstart the shooting of this film very soon.

According to the buzz, the first shooting schedule of Shaakuntalam will get kick-started from March 15th this year. The movie unit is now busy erecting a giant set at a studio in Hyderabad for this schedule. Telugu beauty Eesha Rebba and Malayalam actor Dev Mohan are also on board to play key roles in this film. This high budget epic drama is based on the tale of love from the Adi Parva OF the epic Mahabharata. 'Shaakunthalam' is based on Mahakavi Kalidas’ iconic drama, 'Abhigyana Shaakuntalam'. Computer graphics will be used for a major portion of the film. The poster of the film has already received a decent response from the audience.
