Salman Khan's Radhe Likely To Face A Huge Financial Crunch

Due to the worsening case of this pandemic, Salman Khan and his team had to finally withdraw their hopes for a theatrical release.

Salman Khan and Disha Patani's much-awaited film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, was supposed to be released last year in theatres, but due to lockdowns and worsening conditions, the film release date has witnessed several postponements. Now that India is suffering through a deadly second wave of COVID-19, Salman Khan and his team had to finally withdraw their hopes for a theatrical release. Salman Khan also explained that this film is most likely to incur loss due to its release dilemma. He also said that the film team will lose money on Radhe and box office collections are going to be almost zero, but despite this, they will be going ahead with the film release since it's pointless to hold back now.

According to an IANS report, Salman has expressed his complete point of view regarding this situation. He said, "I apologize to all the theatre owners that we are doing this film now but it is the right thing to do. The intention was to release as soon as the pandemic is over but it doesn't seem to get over. If you remember, a few months ago on social media they were requesting that the film comes on Eid in theatres. Which we agreed to because they said 1000 single screens have shut down. We agreed as they thought that getting Radhe on screens would get the crowds back and theatres would be functional, but that did not happen. Now the film is releasing on OTT, abroad, and in 20-25 theatres that are open here. Once the theatres open, even after doing this OTT release, if they (audience) like the film, they will want to go and see the film in theatres."
