Rana and Samantha on board for Venkatesh's 'Drushyam 2'

Victory Venkatesh who recently scored a super hit with 'F2: Fun and Frustration' movie also has a bunch of interesting projects in his pipeline including 'Asuran' remake 'Naarappa', 'F2' sequel 'F3'. Venkatesh has recently started the shooting of the much-awaited sequel of his blockbuster crime thriller 'Drushyam'. Titled as 'Drushyam 2', Jeethu Joseph who helmed the original Malayalam version as well as the first part of the Telugu remake is helming this project.

Yesteryear actress Meena is playing the wife role of Venkatesh in the movie. The expectations are already high on this film but it seems like the makers of the Telugu remake are trying to grab the attention of the audience by roping in star cast for the film. As per the latest reports, Venkatesh's nephew Rana Daggubati and star beauty Samantha Akkineni are also going to be a part of this film. According to the buzz, Rana is going to play the role of a Police Officer whereas Samantha is going to play a cameo role in the film. However, the official announcement regarding the same is still awaited.
