Rakul Preet Singh is facing a streak of cinema flops

Rakul Preet Singh is likely under a lot of stress due to her recent films being a failure. She was seen in Nithiin's Check but it didn't make it and was a flop. She then played the second lead in the Bollywood flick Sardar Ka Grandson starring along with Arjun Kapoor. This film had to skip theatrical release considering the pandemic situation. It was directly released on Netflix and post-release, the audience reaction is a complete disappointment. This film became an open portal to inferior and mediocre reviews from the critics. The common audiences who viewed the film expressed similar remarks on social media too.

This movie is supposed to be an interesting plotline as it's a love story traversing three generations, starting in 1947 and continuing till 2020. The story of this film revolves around an NRI youth who wants to fulfill his grandmother's final wish who is on the brink of her demise. Sardar Ka Grandson features Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Neena Gupta playing the leading roles. On the other hand, John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari are to play Arjun Kapoor's grandparents in the 1947 track.
