Initially, when the first part was released, the promotion was focused on young viewers, which may have deterred families from going to the theaters. However, when the film was released on Aha, it became a sensation as people truly connected with Tilu's character.

Naga Vamsi emphasized that the sequel, Tillu Square, was not just made for the sake of it. The team wanted to build on the success of the character and provide even more entertainment to the audience. They saw the potential for Tillu to bring joy to viewers on a larger scale, which motivated them to move forward with the sequel.
