Pooja Bhatt To Turn As Banker Rani For 'Bombay Begums'

Pooja Bhatt to come back as Banker Rani in Alankrita Srivatsava's film.

Alankrita Srivastava of 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare' fame is all set to come up with yet another narrative-driven project by women. Titled as 'Bombay Begums', this upcoming web series deals with ambitious working woman’s efforts ti strike a balance between her personal and professional life and also showcased some complex relationships. This is going to be a six-part series which will go on streaming on Netflix on March 8th. The cast includes Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur, Aadhya Anand, Rahul Bose, Vivek Gomber, Danish Husain, and Pooja Bhatt.

While talking about this web series, Pooja Bhatt explained why she gave her nod to this project. "After a 20-year break from acting, I got an email asking if I can be a part of this show helmed by Alankrita. I was intrigued that they wanted me to be a part of this. I loved Lipstick Under My Burkha and I thought it’s a great part. I love the title," said Pooja Bhatt who is returning to acting after 20 years. She was last seen in 2001 released 'Everybody Says I’m Fine'. Pooja is playing the role of banker Rani in the film.
