Nag Ashwin explained, "In Mahabharata, some characters have open-ended stories. We are still moving towards the final battle, where all four yugas and nine avatars of Vishnu must come to an end. This is where our mythology's last story begins. As we are now in Kaliyuga, the story is still unfolding."

He continued, "I had the idea to create a sequel to Mahabharata, where Kali transitions from Dwapara yuga to Kaliyuga. If he arrives, our heroes must also appear. It's an exciting concept to explore the continuation of this epic tale."
