Murad Khetani wins
the race for obtaining the remake rights of the movie Master over Karan Johar
by paying an amount close to Rs. 6 crores.
After the success of the movie Kabir Singh, Murad has been in search of successful scripts. It is clear that after getting the rights of Namak Halal, Khetani has now officially seized the remake rights of the recent blockbuster Master. The Vijay and Vijay Setupathi starrer bombarded the box office with records. Even with a 50% occupancy restriction, the movie still managed to gather huge collections at the box office.
The huge success of the movie had made every filmmaker go gung-ho over the movie's script. Karan Johar has also lined up for obtaining the remake rights for the movie, but fortune favored Murad, who is riding high on confidence with recent accomplishment. Muras is inclined to consecutive remakes with Thadam, then there's Namak Halal, and now, Master. Murad's team is now putting it all together and reworking the script for the Hindi audience. Casting for the movie will happen only once the re-writing of the script is done.
