'Gadar 2': Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and grown-up Utkarsh Sharma to reunite in a sequel to the blockbuster

Anil Sharma certainly does not want to suffer that fall and so he is working on setting up the stage for 'Gadar 2: Ek Prem Katha' which will retain its original actors, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and his son Utkarsh Sharma.

Yes, Anil Sharma is eagerly working on the script of 'Gadar 2'. While the filmmaker hasn't gone on record yet to say this, we have learned from insiders working on the project that it won't be too long before he makes an official announcement.

If you're wondering what happened to his plans of making 'Apne 2' (the second part of the 2007 film 'Apne') with Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby, the script of that film, too, is almost ready and it may go on floors as soon as the environment is more conducive for film shoots, which, in turn, means that 'Apne 2' is likely to be made before 'Gadar 2'.

Utkarsh, who made his debut in 'Genius' co-starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will be seen as the mature son of Sakina (Ameesha) and Tara Singh (Sunny) in 'Gadar 2'. He was hardly six when 'Gadar' had hit the theatres in 2001.

'Gadar' which had released along with 'Lagaan' on June 15, 2001, was a huge hit and had smashed many box-office records. The film, set to music by Uttam Singh, also starred Amrish Puri, Lilette Dubey, Suresh Oberoi and Dolly Bindra in main roles.
