Born into a family deeply rooted in the Telugu film industry, KL Damodar Prasad has continued the legacy of his father, the renowned senior producer Late Kanuri RanjithKumar. Taking over the reins of Sri Ranjith Movies after his father's passing in 1984, Damodar Prasad has made a name for himself as a producer with an eye for talent and a knack for success.

With over 50 years of experience in filmmaking, Sri Ranjith Movies has created over 13 successful films, including 'Cheekati Velugulu', 'Maa Idhari Katha', and 'Tolikodi Kusundi'. Their film 'Na Laga Yendaro' has been recognized with several prestigious State Awards.

In 2011, their film "ALA MODALAINDI" was a huge hit, becoming a blockbuster of the year. It also marked the debut of actress Nithya Menon and director Nandini Reddy in the Telugu industry, both of whom won State Nandi Awards for their outstanding performances.
