Fighter's Box Office Performance Declines on Monday

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's highly anticipated aerial action drama, Fighter, which was released as a Republic Day treat, has unfortunately become a huge disappointment at the box office worldwide. Especially in the domestic markets, the film's performance has been extremely poor due to its unexciting and uninspiring content.

To make matters worse, Fighter witnessed a major downfall on Monday, with only Rs 8 crore nett collected from ticket sales across India. The film's total earnings in India for the first five days will amount to approximately Rs 127 crore. However, on a brighter note, globally the film managed to gather close to Rs 220 crore. Notably, it has already made over $5.2 million in the North American region.

The director of Fighter is the renowned Bollywood filmmaker, Siddharth Anand, who previously helmed the successful spy thriller Pathaan featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Pathaan had a lifetime collection of Rs 525 crore in India. Unfortunately, Fighter is predicted to fall short, with its lifetime Indian earnings expected to be within the range of Rs 200 crore nett.
