Director Caarthick Raju Completes An Emotional Thriller During Lockdown

Raiza Wilson’s thriller movie completed in record time

Filmmaker Caarthick Raju, who made movies like Thirudan Police made Sundeep Kishen’s Kannaadi, which went unseen. Meanwhile, he started shooting for Regina Cassandra’s bilingual movie Soorpanagai, which is close on the heels of completion. The director has wrapped up a new project in a short span of time, which is just 18 days which is surprising. The film is an emotional thriller featuring Raiza Wilson in the lead role. The others in the star-cast include Harish Uthaman, Bala Saravanan, Anusya, Kaali Venkat, and Monica who played Karthi’s daughter in Kaithi. 

Talking about the film, Caarthick Raju says that during the lockdown, he felt really bored and discussed a script with Velraj sir (cinematographer), Dhilip Subbarayan (action choreographer), Sam CS (music composer), Sabu Joseph (editor) and producer Rajsekhar Varma, who is producing Soorpanagai. Finally, they started shooting the film with special permission at Sirumalai, Dindugal district that has just 500 residents. With a crew of 28 members, they all went through COVID 19 test before starting the work and maintained strict social distancing. 

The shooting has been completed in 18 days with editing winded up as well. Dubbing is expected to begin shortly and the announcement regarding the first look, title, and theatrical release will be made shortly.
