Cinematographer PC Sreeram Refuses To Work With Kangana For Her New Film   

On September 8th, PC Sreeram tweeted that he turned down a film since it had Kangana Ranaut starring in it.  

Sreeram tweeted: 

The name of the movie wasn't revealed as well. He made this decision probably because Kangana Ranaut has been stirring serious controversies since the time she exposed Bollywood's toxic practice of nepotism and the long-drawn favouritism towards star kids. Kangana claimed that 99% of the entertainment industry was/is addicted to narcotics. But what outraged people was when she said the current Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra has transformed Mumbai into Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). This made most of her fans turn against her and she got tremendous hatred for it.  

His tweet accumulated combined replies from social media users. 

"You did the right thing, sir. Proud of you to have openly said it there. If we encourage Kananga and work with her she is going to continue troubling others taking advantage of power," a user tweeted out his opinion. 

Another user tweeted: "Understandable sir. It’s unfortunate that @KanganaTeam, once a fierce voice in the industry & whom most thinking artists respected & supported has turned into this hateful & unreasonable opportunist who wouldn’t think twice before throwing a fellow artist or a woman under the bus." 

Sreeram's tweet also brewed up some negative comments. 

One of the users tweeted: "When a man starts fearing from woman's presence then true feminism has come up!! Yeh dar achcha hai (This fear is good.)"  

While one also replied saying: " Sis Kangana is bold and brave lady Entire maha Govt is against her as she speaks about the dark side of Bollywood With respect to Sriram sir I didn't expect this He should not support Bollywood mafia Very bad" 

It didn't take much time for Kangana to come up with a reply. She tweeted 

PC Sreeram has been highly valued for his cinematography and he also received honoured for Kuruthipunal, a remake of the 1994 Hindi film Drohkaal that he directed.
