Cinema halls all set to re-open

A great relief to the film fraternity as Cinema halls, Theaters, and Multiplexes are going to reopen from 15th October. The decision to open them from the Govt. comes after seven months of shutdown. The government issues a new set of guidelines to reopen the cinema halls, which comes as a part of the unlock-5 initiative by the central Govt.

Under the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B), released today, there will be only 50 percent seating capacity. The cinema halls and multiplexes are bound to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by the ministry. According to the new rules, public distancing is mandatory at every point in the premises of the cinema halls and multiplexes. The 50 percent capacity rule makes it clear that every other seat in the theater should be left vacant and marked. Audience making their way to these locations are subject to thermal screening before they enter the premises. Usage of the Arogya Setu app is encouraged at all the Cinema halls. The audience with asymptomatic symptoms only will be allowed into the cinema halls.
