Arjun Rampal to act in Mother-Daughter combo 'The Rapist'

Arjun Rampal will share the screen space with Konkana Sensharma to star in Aparna Sen's directorial 'The Rapist'. Bengali filmmaker Aparna Sen is the mother of the renowned actress Konkona Sensharma, she is directing 'The Rapist' and the movie is made under the banner of Applause Entertainment. On the work front Actor, Arjun Rampal is currently shooting for 'Dhaakad' starring Kangana Ranaut. Looks like Arjun Rampal has a busy year. Arjun has now signed a new project. The movie revolves around the serious issue of rape.  

The project in the subject has been titled 'The Rapist' and will further star Konkona Sensharma beside Rampal, bringing them together for the second time after Venod Mitra's 2013 unconventional compilation film 'Meridian Lines' that explained the tale of seven confused strangers. The movie tries to unravel the role of society in abetting rapes and is going to have a hard-hitting drama, added Aparna in a statement. Furthermore, the movie is also going to examine the trauma, plight, circumstances, and turmoil's a woman undergoes from a crime like rape. The movie completed its preproduction work and will set off to the floor in March.
