AR Rahman To Score Music For 'Pippa'

It is official, AR Rahman would compose music for Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyuli's Pippa, a war film. Pippa is the book adaptation of 'The Burning Chaffees,' written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The film is jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Pippa is the book adaptation of 'The Burning Chaffees,' written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The film is jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. The film is AR Rahman's first Bollywood project after Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi starrer Dil Bechara. For the unread when Dil Bechara had released, Rahman explained his resentment on not doing many Bollywood projects.  

AR Rahman had also known about the stories circulated about him in the Bollywood circles from Mukesh Chhabra, the director of Dil Bechara during the time. That's when Rahman got to know about the nexus working against him due to which he has not been getting enough opportunities from the Hindi film industry. He accepted the movie Pippa, which has a very human connection. The movie is about every family, and Rhaman got instantly related to it. He said he was looking forward to working with Raja Krishna Menon, Ronnie Screwvala, and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
