Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi Rakes In Moolah With Digital Rights

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi's digital rights are sold for an extensive price. The movie Gangubai Kathiawadi marks the collaboration of Alia Bhatt with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the very first time. The movie has been making a lot of buzz for almost a year now. The film is based on the life of a brothel owner Gangubai Kothewali of Kamathipura. The star cast from the movie includes Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raj, and Seema Pahwa. The movie has some powerful cameos by Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, and Huma Qureshi. 

The movie is in its final phase and has two songs left in its schedule. Alia is currently winding up the schedule. To everyone's surprise, much before the post-production and the theatrical rights of the film have been finalized, its digital streaming rights have been sold to an online portal at a reported price by an OTT giant for a huge amount. According to the sources an OTT giant bought the rights for a massive amount of close to Rs 70 crore. The star-cast, grandeur, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s star image have guided the team of Gangubai towards striking this massive deal.
