Addressing Anxiety over Dunki: Getting Candid with Rajkumar Hirani

Rajkumar Hirani's latest cinematic venture, "Dunki," has sparked diverse critical opinions but is enjoying considerable success, especially in overseas markets. The film has surpassed the 300 crore mark at the box office, demonstrating solid performance both in India and abroad. In a recent interview, Hirani candidly shared his sentiments about dealing with the weight of expectations.

"Expectations are always there. I sometimes get scared of them. People want me to make the kind of films that I made in the past," expressed Rajkumar Hirani, who has ventured into different genres, from "Munnabhai MBBS" to "3 Idiots" to "PK" to "Sanju," and now, "Dunki."

Reflecting on the response to "Dunki," Hirani expressed contentment, stating, "I am happy with the response to 'Dunki.' People are saying I am brave enough to create a content and story-driven film like 'Dunki' at a time when others are focusing on mass entertainers. That makes me really happy." Notably, "Dunki" marks the first collaboration between Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan.
