Actress Lavanya Tripathi Recreates The Legendary Kannanule Song From Bombay
The 1990s kids and movie viewers will know how much of a big hit 'Kannanule' from 'Bombay' was. Its the best of not just the director Mani Ratnam, lyricist Veturi and singer Chitra, but also the genius AR Rahman and Mani Ratnam. Paying a tribute to such an amazing song by means of a cover version is difficult task. But Lavanya Tripathi has done it.
Sharing the video on her social media platform, Lavanya wrote “I learned always to follow your heart. So I followed my heart and performed on this beautiful song which is closest to my ❤️”
The actress said on Tuesday, dropping the cover version, shot in the Uttarakhand woods by Nitish Gurung, with model Umang Gupta in tandem. the song is out on her YouTube channel.
At present, Lavanya Tripathi is all set to play a tomboyish hockey player in Sundeep Kishan’s upcoming film A1 Express. According to reports, she is also clinched as the leading lady opposite Kartikeya in ‘Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’.
After spending most of her quarantine life in Hyderabad, Lavanya recently flew back home to Dehradun in August. Speaking about her experience in hometown, the 29-year-old actress told the reporters “I almost forgot how beautiful Dehradun was. We have a rooftop gym, so when I see the mountains and fireflies every day, it almost feels like this place has a soul of its own. My parents were delighted to see me and my mum is constantly feeding me all the yummy food she makes. I’ve gotten the chance to spend time with my parents after a long time and I’m making the most of it.”
