Aakasam Nee Haddura, which is a remake of the Tamil super hit film Soorarai Pottru has entered the Oscars race. The film has been fortunate enough to be nominated for multiple awards under General Category.

Suriya's superhit digital release, Aakasam Nee Haddura, which is a remake of the Tamil super hit film Soorarai Pottru has entered the Oscars race. The film has been fortunate enough to be nominated for multiple awards under General Category. The film astoundingly got into the race for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Score. Soorarai Pottru has now been made available in the Academy screening room. The film team has been extremely happy to share this news with the fans. The co-producer of the movie, Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian announced the same using his official Twitter account. 

Soorarai Pottru was initially planned for a theatrical release but was later released on the digital platform Amazon Prime Video. It is exciting to see a big commercial film like Soorarai Pottru from India entering the Oscars race. It is too early to foresee the movie's success at Oscar, but if that happens it would certainly give a big boost to the South Indian Film industry. Aparna Balamurali played the leading lady in the film and the movie was directed by Sudha Kongara.
