    Story

Vikram aka Sulthan (Karthi) is a Robotics engineer who works in Mumbai. His father Sethupathy (Napoleon) is like a godfather in Vizag. He has a lieutenant Mansoor (Lal). Vikram grows up with hundred henchmen who work under his father and considers them like brothers. But, he despises their violence. So, Sulthan decides to reform Mansoor and the 100 henchmen. On the other hand, he falls in love with a village girl named Rukmini (Rakshmika Mandanna) and becomes a farmer to win her love. He has to go against the village head Jayendra (KGF Ram) and a powerful Industrialist (Nawab Shah) who wants to take all the agricultural lands to set up 10000 crores iron ore mining company. Can Sulthan save the village and can he succeed in reforming his brothers forms the rest of the story.

    Review

Karthi's stunning performance is the biggest plus point of this film. The emotional scenes are elevated well. The first half is good but the interval fight sequence is amazing and will increase the expectations on the second half. Some scenes are dull and slow-paced in the second half. The climax fight will cover it up. The elevation shorts are too good and the movie will be an eye feast for the mass lovers. The light-hearted comedy in the film also added more points for the film.

Director Bakkiyaraj Kannan took a simple story where the hero tries to save a village from corrupt people but tries to make the film interesting by adding comedy and interesting concepts. But the movie doesn't have an impactful conflict which might become boring for some audience. Only a particular section of the audience can really enjoy the film. Cinematography is quite good and the visuals are dynamic. Especially the action sequences are shot well. Editing could have been better. Production values are lavish.

Karthi is undoubtedly the backbone of the film. His riveting performance is one of the major driving factors behind the film and also the biggest plus point which will make the audience stick to the chairs. He effortlessly slipped into the character and delivered his first performance. Rashmika Mandana doesn't have much screen time but she signed in her role. Lal and Napoleon are too good in their roles and will impress the audience. The actors who played the henchman are decent. Yogi Babu's comedy timing is too good. Nawab Shah and KGF Ram made their presence felt.

    Verdict

Sulthan is a regular action film which follows the same old formula but with a farming backdrop. Karthi fans will enjoy the heroism, elevation scenes, and his power-packed performance.
