An immoral village head comes face to face with a righteous city man. Arunachalam (Radha Ravi) is a thug who kills his twin brother and poses as the sarpanch of the village. However, his evil rule comes under threat when Vijay (Vijaykanth) arrives from the city to take care of his ancestral estate. Things become tense when Vijay falls for Satyabhama (Sashikala), whom Arunachalam has his eye on.
