Story

Ravi (Abhay Simha), Vamsi (Krishna Burugula) and Teju (Charan Sai) are three best friends who are looking forwards to step up their career game by going to America for further studies. They got this idea after they witness one of their seniors go to the US to upgrade his career. On an eventual turn of events, the senior returns to India and ends up meeting the three friends who have high anticipations from this man. The senior gave out repulsive information about the Americans saying that the girls in America despise virgin boys. And that they will have no life if they go there as virgins. This leads the trio completely adamant about losing their virginities before going to the US. The crux of this film revolves around how this simple-minded trio executes their plans.  

Review

We have come across several adult comedy films, and by far, this is the worst among them. To enlist one reason among many, this film has an amplified amount of sexism that is just too unbearable to watch. The women in this film are extremely objectified and are offensively misrepresented. Though one could counter this reason by saying it is a "fiction" film, the after-effects of Crrush will be too disgusting to watch as it influences real-life people.  

Coming to the story, the plot had desperate attempts to be humorous but it was anything but funny. Was it something that could've been better with improvizations? My answer is no. To only good thing about this film might be the father who portrays the role of a sex educator but seems like his attempts go to waste since the lead trio, Ravi, Vamsi and Teju, end up knowing nothing about consent, respect and boundaries. The lead actresses in this film were intentionally made to play the feeble-minded characters as none of them know the dense and lewd intentions of the men who shamelessly pursue them.  

As for the technical aspects, it is a known fact that Ravi Babu is one of the decently talented directors and story writers. But it's a regret that a great talent like him would come up with a film this poorly written.  

Verdict

Crrush is definitely not worth your time. There are far better options to browse through instead of this one.
