    Review

The film started off well but takes a shocking turn within a few minutes. The director tried to change the climax from the original flick and also added a double twist. But, this attempt failed to really work as the second twist doesn't have any logic. As the film progresses, so many characters get added but failed to captivate the viewers. The ending could have been better as there is no logic.

Ribhu Dasgupta's direction is not upto the mark. Though he manages to engage the viewers with some scenes, the non-linear narrative will irk the audience. Music is a biggest plus point for this film. The BGM is also surprisingly good. Tribhuvan Babu Sadineni's cinematography is effective. Sangeeth Prakash Varghese's editing is neat. Production values are decent. Ribhu Dasgupta's screenplay is just average and failed to keep the audience hooked.

Parineeti Chopra delivers a fantastic performance and is the show-stealer of this film. Her convincing performance added extra brownie points for the film. Kirti Kulhari shined in her role and impressed with her performance. Aditi Rao Hydari got so much scope for performance and she did her best. Avinash Tiwary, Natasha Benton and Shamaun Ahmed did a convincing job.

    Verdict

'The Girl On The Train' cannot be thrown away as a complete blunder. Despite having a fast-paced narrative and fines performances, the movie has so many flaws and made it a boring watch.
