    Story

The movie opens with a bunch of young men trekking at the Hilltop but finds the dead body of a young woman. The police learn that she is Justice Chowdary (Shishir Sharma)'s daughter Pooja (Barkha Singh). Pooja spends the night at her best friend Kavita's house and was supposed to head to Pune that morning. All the proofs lead towards Kavitha's politician husband Ravi Khanna (Arjun Mathur). Is he really the killer? Who else is involved in the death of Pooja? To find the criminal, Pooja's father Justice Chaudhary personally requested commissioner Sanjay Sharma (Denzil Smith) to appoint ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) in the case. Did Avinash succeed in resolving the case? forms the rest of the story.

    Review

The movie starts well and the directors succeeded in engaging the audience in the first 1 hour. But after that, the story eventually loses its pace. Though so many characters come into the LimeLight while investigating the case, the movie felt slow. The title of the movie makes sense after the interval scene. The story has a decent amount of twists and turns in the last 30 minutes of the film and killer revelation is out of the box.

The director made the movie even more intriguing by adding some twists to the tale. But, most of the movie goes very slow with regular scenes. The investigation scenes could have been better. There are so many unnecessary scenes and characters which will irk the audience. Production values are decent. Music is up to the mark and BGM is decent. The cinematography is too good and the visuals came out well. Editing could have been better as some of the scenes are confusing and most of the scenes felt dragged.

Manoj Bajpayee is undoubtedly the star of the film. Manoj breathes life into his character and delivered his best performance as a divorced ACP. His character also has a back story was which doesn't add much to the proceedings. Arjun Mathur performed well. Barkha Singh doesn't have much scope to perform but she is good in her role. Prachi Desai looked beautiful and did her part well. Shishir Sharma is decent in his role. Denzil Smith also acted well. The rest of the actors made their presence felt.

    Verdict

'Silence... Can You Hear It?' could have been a gripping tale but loses its magic because of the unnecessary draggy scenes, boring screenplay. But, the last 45 minutes of the film can be considered as the savior.
