Gudumba Shankar is a casanova. He is a small time thief who makes his living by arresting people. On an occasion when he is travelling to Mumbai, he accidentally meets Gowri. Ace serendipitous sequence of events forces them to travel together enabling a friendship built on trust. It is only later that Shankar realises that Gowri is actually a runaway who has escaped perilous circumstances, but by then they are already smitten with each other.
